Accounts Payable Assistant

  • Location: Eye, Suffolk.
  • Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm – 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary up to £28,000 p.a. basic depending on experience.
  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent | Fully On-Site.

They are actively looking to hire an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team based just outside of Eye, Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Assistant role are:

  • Invoice & Payment Processing; ensuring timely and accurate payment to suppliers and process electronic transfers and BACS payments.
  • Verify and reconcile invoice discrepancies, statements, and resolve any billing issues promptly.
  • Maintain and update supplier records, ensuring all data is current and accurate.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process by ensuring all accounts payable activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide necessary support during internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve payment inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Plus, other ad-hoc accounts tasks as and when required.

They are looking for someone who combines a passion for four-legged friends with proven experience as an Accounts Payable Assistant and qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or AAT. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software such as Access Dimensions is a plus – the perfect blend of heart, skill, and attention to detail.
